NDIS Registered Provider Australia – Pacific Home Care
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is one of the most life-changing supports available through the NDIS. At Pacific Home Care, our SIL services are built around your goals, your routines, and your right to live as independently as possible in a home that truly feels like yours.
Whether you are moving into supported accommodation for the first time, transitioning from a family home, or looking for ongoing daily support, our experienced team is here to help you thrive, not just get by.
SIL is designed for NDIS participants who require a moderate to high level of daily support. It is not about doing things for you; it is about supporting you to do things your way, at your pace, in your space.
SIL is NDIS-funded support delivered in your home to assist with daily tasks you cannot do independently. It covers personal care, household tasks, and social participation always with a focus on building your skills and confidence over time.
Pacific Home Care Solutions provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) support across Victoria and Tasmania covering major cities and surrounding suburbs.
We support participants living with psychosocial, intellectual, physical, autism, and complex support needs through flexible and person-centred SIL arrangements.
Depending on your individual needs and NDIS funding, SIL supports can be tailored to provide the right level of assistance throughout the day and night. This may include 24/7 support, scheduled daily shifts, sleepover supports, or active overnight care — ensuring you receive the right balance of independence, safety, and ongoing support within your home environment.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is funded under Core Supports within an NDIS plan and requires a formal assessment and NDIA approval process. SIL funding is provided based on a participant’s functional support needs, level of daily assistance required, and recommended living arrangements falls under Home and living funding.
SIL is not just about providing support — it is about empowering you to build confidence, develop life skills, and increase independence over time. Whether it is cooking, budgeting, personal care, travel training, or managing daily routines, our focus is always on helping you achieve greater choice, control, and autonomy in your everyday life rather than creating long-term dependence.
SIL refers to the support services and support workers who assist you with daily living activities such as personal care, cooking, medication support, household tasks, community access, and building independence. SIL is about the support you receive, not the property itself.
SDA refers to the physical home or accommodation specifically designed or modified for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. These homes may include accessibility features, assistive technology, or specialised design standards to improve safety and independence.
While SIL and SDA are separate NDIS supports, they are often used together — with SDA providing the home environment and SIL providing the day-to-day support within that home.

We understand that finding suitable accommodation can be challenging. Our team works closely with housing providers, landlords, real estate agencies across both states, and community accommodation networks to support participants exploring SIL and long-term living options aligned with their goals and support needs.
Getting started with SIL through Pacific Home Care Solutions is a straightforward, supportive process. Here is what to expect.
Contact our team to talk about your needs, your goals, and your current NDIS plan. We listen carefully before recommending anything there is no pressure and no obligation.
We work with you, your family, and your support coordinator to build a support plan that fits your lifestyle not a generic template. Every detail is discussed and agreed with you.
Once your SIL arrangements are approved and in place, your dedicated support workers are by your side consistently, reliably, and with genuine care for your wellbeing.
We are committed to support that is genuinely person-centred — starting with who you are, not what is easiest for us.
We match you with support workers based on personality, cultural background, language, and shared interests not just whoever is free. The right fit makes all the difference.
All staff are trained in positive behaviour support, manual handling, and person-centred practice. We never place an untrained worker in a role that requires specialist skill.
We work closely with your support coordinator, allied health professionals, and GP, ensuring your care is holistic, consistent, and well-communicated across every touchpoint.
We actively support cultural safety. Multilingual staff are available, and we ensure your cultural identity, values, and preferences are respected in every aspect of your support.
